Selections of Glass Work
I spent a couple of years blowing glass and really enjoyed it. This page covers a broad selection of some of my almost favorite pieces that I made.
When I started doing more solid work then blown, columns were one of the more difficult bits for me. I realized that an easy way to tell if you get things aligned and straight, is to make tops. Here's one example.
Every Christmas I made a bunch of ornaments for the following year. Here's a small selection of those.
I think everyone who's done glass work has done paper weights at some point. It's a lot of fun to play with colors, and bubbles and see how things work together.
I found flowers a ton of fun to make, but didn't make them too often as they took a long time. This rose was one of my favorites.
While experimenting with disks and columns, I found a fun way to merge the two and make something I I thought was fun.
My first happy mistake. While blowing some glass, a hole popped into it and it deflated a bit. Not deterred, I continued working with the piece, and it ended up turning into one of my favorites. While taking photos of it, two of them were taken just far enough apart that I decided to have some fun in photoshop and see if I could make it a little three dimensional.
