Before even getting into an art program, when I was still attending junior college, I decided to take an elective course in silk screen printing. This is a small selection of the work I did in that class, but some of my favorite prints. A lot of what I did with my prints lead to trying to figure out how colors affected each other, and how minor changes in alignment changed interpretations.

Most art classes I've taken start off with abstract images or self portraits. This class started off with both.

Once we got to making things we wanted to, or enjoyed, I found myself falling back to math concepts. I was taking Calculus 1 at the time, and sin, cos, and tan were very important parts of my daily routine.

My final piece for the class, titled 'End of an Era'. I remember watching a lot of news about peek oil at the time and thinking about when I was told how much jet fuel an F-15 burns when using the afterburner.
